Successful interim management in the area of production and logistics: optimised processes and increased efficiency
A leading company commissioned us to take over the vacant position of Head of Production and Logistics. Our mandate included operational management and personnel management with the aim of stabilising processes and effectively supporting the team. Through process optimisation and (partial) automation, we were able to achieve significant cost savings and significantly improve service quality and process speed.
A leading company was faced with the challenge of filling the vacant position of Head of Production and Logistics. During this critical phase, we were tasked with interim management to ensure that the production and logistics processes ran smoothly and the team worked efficiently.
Our main objective was to stabilise and optimise the operational processes. We placed particular emphasis on personnel management in order to create a motivating working environment and support the employees. Our tasks included the professional and disciplinary management of employees as well as the monitoring and management of ongoing customer projects. We regularly reported on all management activities and relevant key figures to the company's management.
One of the biggest challenges was the lack of process documentation. Following an in-depth analysis, we created additional documentation and carried out optimisations, some of which were supported by automation. These measures led to significant cost savings and at the same time improved service quality and process speed.
Our responsibilities included the daily planning and coordination of activities, monitoring production and logistics processes and supporting employees with their tasks and challenges. By encouraging open communication and collaboration within the team, we were able to create a positive working atmosphere and increase efficiency.
Our work not only had a positive impact on production and logistics processes, but also helped to strengthen the company's competitiveness and secure long-term improvements.
