PMO in the area of online customer portals for a leading German car manufacturer

In this project, we took on a wide range of different individual tasks, the details of which would go beyond the scope of this article. One of the focal points was to discuss the results of the reviews of software product documentation with the stakeholders concerned and to draw up a list of deficits to be eliminated.

To achieve this, we completed the so-called "product depot" with missing documents, primarily from the areas of compliance, operations and interface contracts. We organised and led meetings with the relevant stakeholders and knowledge holders and requested the corresponding supplies. For special tasks, we involved specialised service providers and service providers with general responsibility where necessary.

Another task was to create new users for the ITSM suite (BMC Remedy) using special import scripts in the configuration management database (CMDB) and to provide them with the appropriate authorisations and support group assignments. Here it was important and critical to observe and consistently adapt the existing CMDB structure, particularly with regard to roles and support groups.
