Successful implementation of a direct sales programme for a leading German car manufacturer
A leading German car manufacturer commissioned us to support its large-scale direct sales programme. The aim was to convert the sales model from wholesale to retail in order to enable direct sales to customers. Thanks to our expertise in the commissioning management of new applications and systems, we made a significant contribution to the successful implementation and significantly increased sales efficiency and customer satisfaction.
As part of a comprehensive strategy initiative, a leading German car manufacturer decided to radically change its sales model. The aim was to move away from traditional wholesale sales towards a modern retail approach that focussed on direct contact and sales to the end customer. This change required an almost complete reorganisation of the IT systems in the sales area as well as the development and implementation of new applications.
Our role in this ambitious project was to manage the commissioning of the new applications. Our main task was to ensure that the direct sales programme was launched and implemented smoothly and successfully. This included not only the introduction of new technologies and processes, but also comprehensive people management. It was crucial that employees accepted and actively supported the new systems and changes.
Due to the complexity and variety of the new systems, the start-up management team grew considerably. To ensure high quality and efficiency, we involved external partners and coordinated their work closely with our team.
Thanks to our careful planning and implementation, the direct sales programme was successfully launched. This had a positive impact on sales and customer satisfaction. Our customised solutions helped to increase sales efficiency and strengthen the car manufacturer's competitiveness in the long term.
