Designing the transition of online services into regular operations for a public law institution

As part of a long-term software project to implement the Online Access Act (OZG), our client has developed a wide range of online services. As ITIL process consultants, we designed a tailored concept to seamlessly integrate these services into regular operations. In doing so, we considered existing operational processes for current services and developed a clear migration path to transition the temporary processes that emerged over several years within the program into the established operational organization.

Our concept included, among other things, delineating between software development and operations, organizing operations, structuring responsibilities, defining goals and priorities in all relevant IT service management areas, as well as preparing and executing the operational transition. Additionally, we established technical communication channels and defined appropriate management controls, contracts, and agreements.
